About
Liam started the project in 2017 as an outlet for his diverse musical inspirations: cinematic scores, modern rock and psychedelic electronic music. Over time, the world and folk influences became more prominent. Although synthesizers and sound design continue to make an appearance, Blue Alatar can be neatly summarized as modern folk-rock.
Blue Alatar take influence from psychedelic rock bands like Ozric Tentacles; folk-inspired bands such as Peatbog Faeries, New Model Army and The Levellers; modern rock bands like Black Stone Cherry and Ghost; film & media composers including Bear McCreary, Ramin Djawadi and Inon Zur.
